K8 Mountaineering's mission is to help our members access the mountains and become self-reliant in their pursuits. It is a support system for Filipinos wrestling with the emotional and psychological toll of resettling through the healing power of the mountains. They are actively engaged in mountaineering whether hiking, scrambling, climbing traditional/sport, ice climbing, alpinism, and other general mountaineering activities.

he Friends of Fish Creek Provincial Park Society is helping to conserve and restore one of Calgary’s most treasured natural spaces. In 2025, nearly 300 incredible volunteers contributed over 17,000 hours to support conservation, education, community programs, beaver coexistence, native grassland restoration, and so much more.
